A work in the future considering possibilities

When we discuss about a future job, there are many possibilities according to the specific educational process that a person has had during its life. In my case, I’m actually studying geography on the university, and it is a little bit difficult to explain all the components and areas that a professional like this can work with, because it is an integral way to analyze the multiple systems that run over the planet, including topics like meteorology, geomorphology, geology, hydrology, environmental areas and so on when we refer to natural components and dynamics, and also human topics like social structures, economic and political organizations and actions that have a clearly effect or impact through territory, and that’s why I really like my career, because with my knowledge I can take multiple decisions to help in processes of correcting, improving, planning and monitoring actions that can help not just only the population, but also the existing ecosystems to find the best way to reach a sustainable development, that tries to balance economic development, social fairness and the protection of the environment. The main skills for a future job as a geographer must consider ethical perspectives to better understand the behavior of multiple human groups, also considering that usually you will be making and planning interventions indise a closed group that take the final decisions, and that’s why you always have to include the participation of a potential community that may be affected in the territory, and so the theorical and practical fundaments of complex systems that are present over the whole planet. As a resume, I would like to work on urban areas to help to reduce the impact of cities, getting a better quality of life for the people and correcting massive activities that have a huge impact on existing natural systems.

An historical Chilean

Hi there guys,

When I refer to famous people, I have to mention that there is a long list of them, but in my personal opinion, the greatest Chilean of all time may be the former president Pedro Aguirre Cerda, who lead the country from 1938 to 1941. His government is considered one of the most important periods in Chile’s history cause of the emphasis on the educational area and politics heavily focused to consolidate an internal (national) industrialization. The education change processes were known by a phrase that the president said in an occasion and with time it was considered as a campaign support; he said “to gobernate, is to educate”. In the second topic about the industrial area, the politics were known by its focus directed to grow the diversity and value of the manufacturing industries, based on a gradual replacement of foreign imports and so to reach and create more working slots. I think this was a very important period to take good examples in order to focus specific and important public policies that may affect most part of the country inhabitants. For the same reason, If Pedro Aguirre Cerda would still alive, I will really like to ask him many things to stop some bad and incorrect ways to take social, political and economic topics like the recent conflict between the state and its education ministry and most part of the teachers from public schools and their demands through the country.

A little bit of future wishes

Hello to all of you,

One of the topics that I really like to spent time talking is about travelling through other countries. The first time I went abroad was with my dad in 2005. On that time we took a plane to Buenos Aires in Argentina. Because I was only 8, everything that I looked at the city seemed to be so big, I mean, the avenues, buses, buildings, monuments, parks and so on. Again, and of course considering my age at the time, I couldn´t enjoy the journey by myself in ocassions that I wanted to move freely along the city, an issue that was resolved when I came back in 2018 and 2019 with a very close friend. This time we went to every place that got our attention to, obviously while we learned to use the complex public transport system of buses, trains, subway and others than run in Buenos Aires. But my very first time and real deal travelling alone was on this year, when I got an extremely good offer of plane tickets to get to New York City. This place was one of my favourite destinations in my bucket list since I saw it on many tv shows and movies. It was just like it was shown on the media; the tallest buildings I ever seen in my life, beautiful and numerous urban parks and so many publicity lights, especially on Times Square, the place that I really got amazed of. I really would like to come back again.

That descrives my trips in the recent time. See ya guys.
