When we talk about celebrations there are lots of exisisting types of parties, graduations, reunions and so on where you can enjoy a good space of time usually accompanied by a large group of people.
I remember a special celebration that was held on the first half of 2005, when the new master plan of public transport for Santiago known as "Transantiago" was starting its first stage of implementation. On this "street party", there were lots of people standing through Alameda Bernardo O'Higgins avenue like from Los Héroes until La Moneda waiting for the first new buses to be presented by the authorities to the public. The buses were stopped all together at the corner of street Dieciocho, and when the drivers started to move, on the top of the Entel tower lots of fireworks started to blew out to conmemorate the relevance of this very important day for the begining of the transport plan. I think that this historical day was very important considering those times where most of people didn't have a massive access to instant information so they had to attend to that event to see the latest actions going out related to the plan. They also wanted to know what was happening and what kind of vehicles would they use in a near future, so I remember lots of happy people that were thinking that the new plan was a real solution for the transport issues that Santingo was having on those days. It was a good moment with my mom, her couple and my grandfather looking those fireworks.
