My taste of urban parks
When we are little kids, we usually get accompanied by an adult like our parents or other when we get outside our house and visit other places like a cinema, parts of the city, a commercial centre, an airport or whatever. So that, when my mom used to hang out through Santiago with me on her car, I always looked at San Cristobal hill and that place started to impress me with its massive presence of vegetation until the highest peak, where the virgin lies, that was my initial contact with an example of a huge urban park and so I wanted to visit some place like it when I reached an older age so I could walk through the city alone. Analyzing the current times, the fact of visiting many parks is one of my favorite activities not only in cities but also on other natural places that have lots of other flora and fauna species that you can't see on a loud and polluted area as Santiago, but that doesn't mean that the capital city does not have many parks with a good standard of equipment and ecosystemic services that helps not only people in topics like their health or activities, but also has many other functions like regulation of temperatures, caption and filtration of water or moisture, fertility and quality of soils, provision of an environment for many species as well as other functions that may sustain a well working ecosystem. Try to visit as many parks as possible, it is the main way to take advantage of their usefull services so the respective authorities can manage this kind of places as good as possible.

A few plans for the month of Chile
Hi guys, this time I will give you a short
resume of my plans for this “18” holidays. First of all, after ending all my
pending works for the university by this Saturday, I’m planning to get out of
my house along with two friends or more to visit Batuco’s wetland by riding our
bikes, specially they because they recently bought new mountain bikes to do
more frequent physical exercises, so we think that the route may be a good way
to improve our performance to travel many kilometers by bike. After Sunday, I’ll
visit my best uncle house in Puente Alto along with most part of my family so
we can enjoy the “18”, but there are some things I don’t like, mostly the
massive consumption of meat and some traditions that exalt the patriotism in
Chile. The thing about that, I personally like some good activities during this
days where you can see people happy and interacting each other, even now that the
country has a lot of immigrants that can mix their cultures and enjoy our
celebrations so we can all be part of good relations, considering that this
topic is used for some sick people to show hate against others. I will also try
to not drink so much alcohol because I don’t have a good resistance to its effects,
you must do the same for your health. Have a happy 18!!

A massive urban park that you must visit at least once in your life!
When I think about a tourist or an interest spot when
you visit some place, my first tough is to consider urban parks around many
cities that I know as a primordial whereabout when you live in that place or when
you are travelling. I my case, the most amazing park that I ever visited in my
life was the famous Central Park, located in Manhattan, New York. I went there
a few months ago, during a break week in my regular semester in the university,
specifically on the first days of May. It was just me during the trip, not a
single person accompanied me. About some activities that I did there, it wasn’t
so many because I got into the park during the evening when the night was
starting, and adding the fact that the park has huge dimensions (4km long and
800m wide), I was not able to walk through its entire space, so I made the decision
to cross it following a north-south path that passed along a big artificial lagoon
placed on its center. Even though it was a bit dark, I could see so many
species of birds and animals like squirrels that run freely over the massive
meadows inside. It was such a great visit from the start to the end, I really
enjoyed my experience because I had never visited such a big park before, and
adding the plus of being a massive park placed in the middle of one of the most
populated and densified cities in the world, so you can have a comfortable
moment of contact with nature to avoid the noise, lights and traffic that are
present all over New York.
